This is a new sub-committee of the Campbellford-Seymour Heritage Society established in 2007 to begin the set-up of a model railroad in the upper level of the Heritage Barn.
The model railroad was donated in 1996 to the Town of Campbellford by the late Frank Linton. A local train club set up the railroad in the basement of the former Post Office/ Campbellford Town Office/Community Resource Centre.
In 2003, the components of the system were moved to the upper level of the Heritage Barn. Since that time, limited funds and resources have been available to proceed with a re-construction of the model railroad. Building modifications to the Barn are still required before the general public will be able to view the railroad.
The current club is working hard to reconstruct a full layout representing Campbellford in 1924. Meetings are held Thursdays at 7 pm in the upper level of the Heritage Barn. New members are welcome and interested parties are encouraged to attend.
Donations in support of this endeavour are most welcome.
